Forest Survival (40-h) During this course we will start to explore beyond immediate survival. You will be learning more in-depth skills to make your survival experience more sustainable. We will be focusing on the four basic needs (Shelter, Fire, Water and Food) and the means to provide these. as well as many more ways to provide food and other natural resources. This course deals with the various skills needed in order to ensure your survival in forest.
Mountain Survival (48-h) We expose ourselves to the great outdoors, to adventure, the possibility for a mountain survival scenario exists. Any one of a number of factors can conspire to change our carefully crafted plan into a potential tragedy. Weather events, equipment loss or failure, vehicle breakdowns, injury or illness, geographical embarrassment, geological events, group issues or dynamics – all have the potential to shift our experience in an instant from pleasant and planned to out of control. Mountain survival is an intensive 5day survival skills course which culminates in a challenging expedition, putting your new found skills to the ultimate test.
2 days of training in followed by a rigorous 5day expedition across Himalayan region. you will get to apply your newfound skills in the harshest cold weather conditions on extreme condition. Expect fierce winter conditions, bone-numbing cold, and the sheer exhilaration of accomplishment. This is an advanced course. Previous survival experience highly recommended. Ideal for cold weather professionals, safety officers, search and rescue teams, and extreme adventurers.
